Interlock Roofing - Roof Reviews

We had the “Interlock” charcoal grey “new tile” aluminum roofing to replace our eleven year old pine shake roof in September 2010.

I like to share the details of my roofing project with everyone. As the new tiles had to be tailored and shipped, it took about 3 to 4 weeks. All pieces were well packaged in sturdy boxes. They were placed nicely by the side of the house as per our instructions. All materials were delivered on the same day.

A 6-men demolition crew and a state of the art haul truck arrived early in the morning. They removed the old roof, cleaned up, and hauled away in about half a day. Then, about an hour later, two roofers showed up to install new liner covering the entire roof immediately. Everyone was impressed.

It took about 8 more days for the two man crew to finish installing the new tile roof. They cleaned up and removed all garbage every day. They are efficient, professional, and cautious to safety.

The actual construction period was about two weeks. The entire project was well executed, good scheduling, quality products and professional work.

My wife and I are both professional engineers. We had numerous investigations and discussions and finally agreed on using the “Interlock” aluminum roofing. We are also very pleased with the charcoal grey color. It appears to have a tint of bluish grey when it’s sunny out, and a darker grey when the sky is cloudy. It makes the roof very interesting.

The “new tile” profile was exceptional too, not only because of its’ aesthetic qualities, it also provides a better roof ventilation design, and has stopped the cold draft from entering directly from above.

We highly recommend the “Interlock Roofing” system to everyone. I am sure you will find it a good investment, and enjoy your home more and more every day.

Thank you “Interlock Industries (Alberta) Ltd.” for such a superior product.

Dear Peter,

As I listen to the rain hit our new Interlock Roof I couldn’t be happier knowing our roof no longer leaks and will not leak for years to come. My husband and I are very pleased with our new roof. We love the look of it and more importantly we are very impressed with how well the roof protects our 100 year old brick house.

Kelly and his team did a fantastic job repairing the big leak in our roof and their care preparing the roof for the slate-styled roof was impeccable. Once the preparation work was complete the roof went on so quickly. The snow just slides right off our roof now and we have had many compliments about how fantastic our house looks.

We looked at many products in our search for the perfect roof for our house and had several companies come to give us quotes. In the end we did not pick the company who gave us the most inexpensive quote but we choose the company we felt would deliver us the best product and service. We picked wisely and it is very true that you get what you pay for.

Thank you for the great service and our fantastic roof.

Sincerely,

To whom it may concern:

Calgary Roofoing Review 2011-05-27It was time to get a new roof. The signs of wear were obvious. Our house is 31 years old and we have owned it for the last 27 years. In that time we have gone through two asphalt roofs, the current one is 17 years old. At that rate, we expect we would go though two or three more in our lifetime. And those future expenses would be after I retire.
We were looking for something that would last a bit longer that asphalt and decided to check out metal roofs.

So we got three contractors to explain their products and give us quotes. We chose Interlock because we liked the looks of their roofs, they gave us the lowest quote and we felt their aluminum tiles had the best chance of standing the test of time.

Interlock’ s representative was Interlock Industries (Alberta) Ltd.. He took the time to go through everything with us before we accepted their quote. The materials for our new roof were delivered when promised and 10 days later the work was finished. And no mess at any time, either during the installation or after. After all was done, Peter followed through with a visit to make sure everything was to our satisfaction The results are exactly what we expected, our new roof looks great.

Right now, it is the most expensive roof we have ever had on our house, but if it lives up to Interlock’ s lifetime warranty, it will become the cheapest roof we will have ever had, on a cost per year basis. And if we sell the house, their 50 year transferable warranty is bound to add resale value to our house.

Based on our experience, we can recommend Interlock to anyone and have already done so to a few neighbours and friends.

Attn: Interlock Industries (Alberta) Ltd.

We want to let you know how pleased we were with our purchase of your INTERLOCK roofing system this past year. After consideration of other companies and types of roofing systems, we came to the conclusion your system was the best value for the money we were spending. Your presentation was done in a most courteous and professional manner and all our questions were answered without hesitation. All concerns and problems were looked after in a timely manner and were corrected forth with.

There are several aspects of the roof that we are particularly pleased with and that we wanted to mention specifically. First, we noticed that the roof does not make any noise during rain or hail storms, which was a pleasant surprise. Also, we are very happy with the lifetime guarantee that came with the INTERLOCK system. Had we known about this guarantee when we built our home 30 years ago, we would have strongly considered using your roof originally instead of the cedar roof we chose.

We are pleased to have chosen your company and have so far recommended your company to several potential customers and will continue to do so in the future.

Dear Interlock Industries (Alberta) Ltd.,

Upon purchase of our home we knew we needed a new roof. After doing some research into the types of material used in the industry and a cost benefit analysis it was clear that a metal roof was the best choice. After further research into companies that supply and install metal roofs, Interlock Industries was the clear choice.

Our experience started with a visit from a marketing specialist that explained everything from the product, to how it is installed, to what the timeline would be from removal of the old roof to the installation of the new roof. He was very knowledgeable, polite and answered all the questions that we asked.

The removal crew was very good and kept the area clean every day. Once they had finished the removal, the installation began right away and the experience was great. The installer was a true professional who takes pride in his work and that pride shows in the workmanship. Our roof is beautiful and we love the look it gives our home.

We would recommend Interlock Industries (Alberta) Ltd. and their metal roofing product to everyone. It gives us peace of mind that the product is good, the installation was excellent, and the warranty is outstanding.

Warmly,

Cragg McCracken

To Whom It May Concern:

This letter of reference is intended for people considering to re-roof their home or garage.

We moved into our newly built home at the end of 1976 and by 1987 our asphalt shingled roof had deteriorated to the point that replacement was necessary.

We naturally looked for a roof that would last much longer than the old one and settled on aluminum interlocking tiles with a suitable surface finish and color. Aluminum does not rust at the cut edges and the finishing process lets the roof reflect a lot of incident heat in the summer. The tiles are folded at the edges so that the tiles interlock and the aluminum nails with rubber grommets provide a water seal and are invisible.

The surface profile gave the roof a natural pleasing look although the glossy surface has dulled over the last 30 years but still blends in well with the surroundings.

In 2006 we built a garage and wanted to match the roof to the house.

We contracted with Interlock Industries and Mr. Interlock Industries (Alberta) Ltd. showed us samples of the roof tiles and colors. We believe the product is essentially the same durable material with maybe improved color retention and different cover layers for over top of the wood.
